Salvage and Wreck Removal Expertise
Over the last few years, MFB has been involved in many of the most high-profile salvage and wreck removal cases, acting for Owners, Underwriters and Contractors.
Notable instructions include:
A chemical/products tanker, lost engines and went ‘Not Under Command’ very close to the coast of Rotterdam during Storm Eunice and subsequently entered into an LOF salvage contract. MFB were instructed by the Contractors.
A bulk carrier which lost its propeller off Bermuda and entered into an LOF salvage contract. MFB were instructed by Owners and P&I.
A bulk carrier, grounded off Gibraltar following a collision. MFB were instructed by the Contractors in relation to the LOF salvage contract and advised on the post-LOF work under an amended BIMCO WRECKHIRE.
A general cargo vessel, reported water ingress and subsequently sank. MFB were instructed by the Contractors under the original LOF salvage contract and advised on the post-LOF work under an amended BIMCO WRECKHIRE.
A bulk carrier which was immobilised off Indonesia and required LOF salvage. MFB were instructed by the Contractors.
A general cargo vessel which suffered a collision resulting in flooding of one of the cargo holds causing damage to cargo and required salvage assistance. MFB were instructed by the Contractors.
A chemical/products tanker caught fire off the coast of Portugal and subsequently entered into an LOF salvage contract. MFB were instructed by the Contractors.
A container vessel, grounded off the coast of Turkey. MFB were instructed by Owners and P&I which has included negotiating and advising on various contracts relating to caretaking and pollutant removal, container removal and wreck removal.
A general cargo vessel, ran aground sustaining damages to her hull and requiring salvage services. MFB were instructed by Owners and P&I.
