Heather Maxwell joins MFB

MFB is pleased to announce the arrival of Heather Maxwell.
Heather graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Birmingham. She trained at MFB and qualified as a solicitor in September 2014. Heather then spent three years working for an International Group P&I Club before re-joining MFB in March 2019. Heather has also spent time working for shipowners in London and Hamburg on secondment.
Heather has experience in all aspects of dry shipping litigation and has acted for shipowners, charterers and their respective P&I clubs. Heather also has experience in wet matters and has worked on several major casualties including a container ship fire, a wreck removal, and collision.
Heather has an interest in maritime technology, in particular autonomous ships, and was a member of an IG working group tasked with reviewing industry developments from a P&I cover perspective. Heather has also given talks and published articles on the subject.
