MFB is regularly retained by ship owners, yards and insurers on new building, repair and conversion contracts and associated finance for all types of vessels, including conventional commercial ships and specialist vessels for the offshore industry, offshore structures and FPSOs.

Our work covers not only standard forms including NEWBUILDCON, SAJ and AWES, but also individual and unique contracts.

As experienced litigators, we also act in disputes in court and in arbitrations relating to shipbuilding, ship conversion, offshore platforms and FPSOs, advising on contractual and technical disputes, disputed cancellations, financing disputes, claims under guarantees, insurance, delay and force majeure claims.

We have experience with yards in Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Norway and other jurisdictions.
